Inaugural event: Women in Power Switzerland

Showcasing the achievements of successful women technologists in Switzerland

Role model event for Women in Engineering in Switzerland

Do you want to learn about other female leaders in the technology industry in Switzerland? This is your opportunity!

In a male-dominated profession like engineering it can be difficult to hear the stories of successful women. IEEE Power and Energy Society Switzerland has organized a role model event where two leading women engineers will inspire you with their stories.

This is the first session in the programme ‘Women in Power’ developed by IEEE PES Switzerland. In the programme, we focus on promoting the success of women in science, engineering and technology in Switzerland, with mentoring support and several events.

Our December 2020 role model event will include:

  • Presentations by speakers describing their career path
  • An interactive discussion panel on several topics, including:
    • Challenges in their professional career and how they have overcame them
    • Lessons learnt
    • Advice for other women technologists, scientists and leaders

Who should attend?

  • Technologists, scientists and engineers that are interested in the challenges experienced by women in the engineering profession in Switzerland, and how to overcome them
  • Mid-career women that are interested in taking their work to senior roles
  • Women interested in pursuing a career in technical fields
  • Mentors or mentees that are interested in playing a role in – or learning more about – the new IEEE PES Switzerland ‘Women in Power’ programme
